Mosaic Youth Theater is celebrating 20-years of entertaining audiences in the metro Detroit area and across the globe utilizing  some of Detroit’s most talented young people. Today I talk to Delashea Strawder, Director of Music Programs for Mosaic, about their  20-year anniversary and their show to celebrate it called, Only the Best: 20- Years of Mosaic Memories.

Only the Best is an energetic production that takes audiences on a nostalgic theatrical journey through performances of Mosaic’s past, and will feature scenes and songs from many of the ensemble’s best performances, including Now That I Can Dance, Crossing 8 Mile, Hastings Street, Magnificat, What Fools These Mortals Be and many other favorites.

There will be three showings of Only the Best… at the Detroit Film Theatre located inside the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA).  Show times are:

  • Friday, Dec, 14 at 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 15 at 8 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 16 at 4 p.m.
