Detroit (December 1, 2017) – It’s that time of year again—time to remember the reason for the season of giving. For another year, Sheriff Benny N. Napoleon and his many elves plan to make Christmas a brighter this year for dozens of area children. On Thursday, December 14, 2017, Sheriff Napoleon (along with Local 3317 and WCDSA/P.O.A.M.) will host his annual Goodfellows Fundraiser party benefitting “No Child Without a Christmas.” It’s a massive, yet heartwarming event conducted by hundreds of Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies experience the joy of brightening others lives by raising money to buy toys for area girls and boys at Christmas. (Families are identified and pre-selected in advance based on need).

“We want to ensure that when Christmas rolls around that those in need have even more incentive to smile and that they know they are loved and cared for at home and also by those of us in the community.” said Sheriff Benny Napoleon.

This year’s party—co-sponsored by Local 3317 and WCDSA/POAM—will feature a raffle live auction, food and music. The public is invited to share in the celebration because every $20.00 ticket purchased goes entirely to buying gifts for needy boys and girls.
