The issue of the Michigan State Police, its policies, procedures, personnel, and procurement programs are still very critical for this region. The recent Facebook posts by the Director of the Michigan State Police, Col. Kriste Kibbey Etue, still demand the community’s attention and continuous determination to not only change the head but most assuredly transform the body.
The townhall will begin with a press conference at 10 am focused on the state of the Michigan State Police. The town hall serves as a follow-up to the concerns the Detroit Branch NAACP and other’s have expressed related to the Michigan State Police. Following the town hall there will be specific recommendations made to the state and congressional representatives for an even more in-depth investigation and possible legislative remedies for this very critical department in our state.
