Do you know a young person aspiring to be the next hip-hop sensation? Tell them they can go broke if they don’t know the basics about money. And, they can get some knowledge this Sunday at The Wright Museum ~Randi

Edutainment

Presented by Hip Hop Caucus-Detroit, organizers of this “Edu-Tainment” Town Hall will combine youth culture and expert knowledge to empower young people by focusing on topics such as financial literacy, banking, credit restoration, entrepreneurship, and how young voters can influence economic policy. Financial education for young people in low-income communities in Detroit and access to relevant resources is systematically absent from schools and social institutions. Hip Hop Caucus-Detroit and its partners are seeking to fill this void and spur long-term economic empowerment initiatives. (via: hiphopcaucus.org)
