The Gift Of Warmth – How You Can DO Something

I can’t tell you how much it pains me to see homeless people outside in this cold. Or, the knowledge that someone’s home is without heat. The gift of warmth is a momentary inconvenience for most of us, but a 24-hour reality for some.

This is the reason behind the first ever Praise 102.7 Blanket Drive. It may seem like a small thing… but every little thing can build! So, here’s how you can help: Join me and the DO Foundation Saturday, at Northland Mall from 10am until 2pm with new blankets.

While you’re there, you can enter to win great prizes, Meet WDIV’s Andrew Humphrey who is graciously helping Praise out with this effort, and find out how you can continue to help the DO Foundation which connects “directly with the homeless for a personal account of their immediate needs, and to generate community support in conjunction with implementing cost-effective programs to aid & assist them with meeting those needs.” (DO Foundation website)

Please be sure to bring new blankets. Get with your church group and bring a ton! My personal goal is to have at minimum… 100 Blankets. We can DO this. I know it.
