Well apparently many of you did! The only Chick-fil-A location in Metro-Detroit was bombarded for the Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day according to Chris Laine from the Oakland Press
Southern fast food chain Chick-fil-A has divided many across the nation for comments its management has made against homosexuality and gay marriage.
The restaurant chain, which is known for fried chicken sandwiches, operates Michigan’s only location under contract inside Oakland University’s student center food court. The fast food company has recently been accused of donating funds to anti-gay interest groups.
Ted Montgomery, Oakland University’s director of media relations, shared the university’s official statement regarding the southern restaurant operating a franchise at Oakland and the chain’s recent comments.
“Chick-fil-A is a food service tenant at the university and has a contract with Chartwells to provide their food to the campus community,” stated Montgomery. “The comments of its CEO are certainly regrettable and do not in any way reflect the views of Oakland University.”
