Bill to raise penalties for disrupting church awaits approval by Gov. Snyder

DELTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A bill that would raise the penalties for disrupting church services is awaiting action by Gov. Rick Snyder. State Rep. Deb Shaughnessy, R-Charlotte, said she’s reacting to an incident in 2008 at Mount Hope Church in Delta Township, west of Lansing.

Items were thrown at people, and fire alarms were activated.
