98-Year Old Detroit Great-Grandmother Publishes Her First Book

Aspiring authors take note… It’s never too late to get that book done!

Straight from the Motor City, 98-year old Lora B. Edwards has published her first book, Travel Ten Club: Land, Sea and Air. Back in 1968, Lora B. Edwards decided to travel North America with a group of church members. Over the span of three decades, the Travel Ten Club visited all 50 states, plus Puerto Rico, Mexico, the US Virgin Islands, and most of the Providences of Canada. Her book details her amazing life story.

Mother Edwards travel memoirs and life are a testament of her devotion to church, charities, and the National Democratic Party.  Her message to everyone is simply, “Before you leave this earth, make sure you help someone.” She also said, “Throughout my life I always knew I wanted to write a book. I said it to myself repeatedly: One day I am going to write a book.” And she did! So, what are ‘you’ waiting for?

On June 30th,  Mother Edwards will host a book signing from Noon until Five at Grace Temple COGIC.
