Today marks the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s iconic March on Washington for jobs and freedom. If you’re a Detroiter, you know that Dr. King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech was first heard, June 23,1963 at Cobo Hall but, the Nation’s spotlight was tuned into DC two months later, as hundreds of thousands marched from the Washington Monument to the Lincoln Memorial with national media attention.

I dream that the love of God flood the hearts of a hurting nation, that equality is for all… not for just a few… so that my son, nephews and nieces are afforded the same opportunity to succeed that every American should.

What are you dreaming today? ~Randi
